Hello people, I need to address the lack of updates and the status of FotP and what's to come next.

FotP hiatus and BmB(Bear My Breath) status

Time to address Fragments of the Past hiatus of three months. When I first designed FotP I didn't had in mind this was going to be a long VN, and because this is my first FVN ever, back then it felt appropriate the way, but now that things have changed I'm going forward and say it, I'm no more happy with the current status of FotP and that's why I will be diving into the world of rewriting and I'm going to shuffle some things around as well as substantially change the essence of FotP.

And so, while I wrote, drew and directed both FotP and BMB all by myself with a tiny bit help from others, it was no easy task, and so going forward I'd like to rewrite both FotP and BMB  for my own sake.

Old builds

Following my decision to rewrite both Fragments of the Past and Bear My Breath, I will keep the old versions under the (Legacy) tag, so anyone who first experienced both versions (new and old) and would like to keep the old builds, I will not impede you.

In fact I'd like to present the following analogy: You know Pilot episodes, those episodes that show a premise and introduce people to a new series or cartoon, take my first builds and apply this same logic, FotP v0.0.2 and  BMB v0.0.1 are my pilot episodes.

Going forward

I know my decision is harsh, and everything pertaining to it will be disappointing to some folks, but this is matter of self improvement and going back two steps so I can have a better idea how to proceed further and while back in August 2024 I had the silly idea to make two or three FVNs at once, I figured out I should slow down.

So, this is both a learning lesson and an advice: If you want to make a creative project that probably will require hours, days, weeks and months of dedication, I would thoroughly advice to take it easy, start with something small. I didn't do this and now I'm facing the consequences, but this will be worth it.

Right now I will be only rewriting: Fragments of the Past and Bear My Breath.

Adopting a subscription system

In order to make a VN, be it furry or not, you need to have a high budget for a lot of things, soundtracks, sound effects, sprites, backgrounds, programming, writing, proof reading/editing and marketing. All of these take real life days and weeks to make. And while I can keep the pacing of making FVNs 100% for free, it is no surprise I would need a bit of financial help to continue bringing more free content.
